ABOUT
Sonia Schnee graduated Cum Laude from Dartmouth College with a B.A. and High Honors in Film and Media Studies. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and active member of the New Jersey chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMINJ).
While at Dartmouth, Sonia was a Co-Founder of the Dartmouth Organization of Filmmakers and a recipient of the Maurice H. Rapf Award for Outstanding Achievement in Film and Media Studies. Upon graduating, she began working on film and television sets in New York City and New Jersey as a Script Supervisor, Assistant Director, Boom Mic Operator, and Video Editor. She assisted with the documentary Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work, which won Best Documentary Editing at Sundance Film Festival, and researched emerging video technologies while repackaging episodes of Game of Thrones and VEEP for social media outlets as HBO's New Media Asset Specialist.
In 2010, Sonia joined the team at New Jersey Arts News, a New Jersey-based nonprofit producer of short form video news stories for broadcast television distribution. There, she worked her way up from Production and Research Assistant to Outreach Coordinator, Video Editor, and Operations Manager. Her videos aired on NJTV, My9News, WHYY, and WBGO.
From 2014-2023, she produced over 200 video projects for small to mid-sized businesses, nonprofits, higher education institutions, and clients in the healthcare, entertainment, IT, and event production industries as the Founder and Owner of Jersey Video Production.
